Translation of Sha’ar HaPesukim – By Pinchas Winston
In says that Moshe Rabbeinu came to Rebi Shimon bar Yochai while revealing the Zohar and told him, “In the future Yisroel will taste from the ‘Tree of Life,’ which is this Sefer HaZohar, and they will leave exile in mercy, and ‘God alone will lead them, and they will have no foreign god’ (Devarim 32:12).” (Zohar 124b)
Two of my priorities as a writer and teacher have been to make the incredible and profound wisdom of Kabbalah more accessible, especially for those who may lack access to it, and to do whatever I can to help bring the Final Redemption mercifully. I’ve learned Jewish history. I’ve seen how “unmercifully” redemption can come. I’d rather avoid that.
This has led to many different works that do both, b”H. Eventually it inspired me to take on a massive, multi-year undertaking, an annotated translation of “Sha’ar HaGilgulim,” the Arizal’s landmark work on reincarnation and personal rectification. This in turn has led to many derivative works, including a seminar on Juniversity, all of which was made possible by an extremely generous donor who appreciated the importance of such a work, which, b”H, continues to have a large impact on many people.
Years later, I have decided to make a second attempt at such a project, this time the Arizal’s commentary on Chumash, “Sha’ar HaPesukim.” Like Sha’ar HaGilgulim, Sha’ar HaPesukim contains many deep, fundamental, and life-altering concepts. And like Sha’ar HaGilgulim, though not every section is for everyone, everyone can find a section that speaks to them, and which can help them greatly in their relationship with God and themselves. It’s the world within the world, the true heart of Jewish history.
However, unlike with respect to Sha’ar HaGilgulim, I do NOT have the funding for this endeavor. Therefore, I am in search of people who appreciate the importance of such a “project,” and who therefore wish to have a part in such an important and timely project. The greater your financial involvement, the greater your merit will be. You will be, of course, acknowledged in the actual publication, b”H.
As always, I appreciate your interest and involvement.
